The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Visits Perceptics

On August 29th, we had a fantastic showing by Perceptics employees who donated $1,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during a luncheon. The Perceptics Foundation then tripled that amount. All in all, we contributed a total of $4,000 to help fight CF and support families whose loved ones are suffering from the disease.

Ashley Summers, Development Manager at the Knoxville Chapter of CFF, joined us for lunch and a brief presentation. We also heard from a couple of our coworkers who have personally been affected by cystic fibrosis.

This type of luncheon was a first for The Foundation. While we usually do a few fundraising lunches each year, the Board decided to ask for suggestions from the employees on which non-profit organizations should be the focus of the luncheon. During the Board meeting, we pulled one of the suggestions out of a hat. The Foundation plans to host several luncheons each year to benefit charities suggested by employees.

Started in 2010, The Perceptics Foundation is nearing $1 million in donations.
