The Automatic Container Code Identification and Information System (ACIIS) from Perceptics is a unique electronic security grid that images the container and chassis codes and the tractor license plate number for permanent archiving and retrieval. Digital images are captured in real time and encrypted to automatically update the terminal operating system, thus a high volume of accurate transactions can be performed in a paperless environment.

Digital images are captured in real time and encrypted to automatically update the terminal operating system, thus a high volume of accurate transactions can be performed in a paperless environment. The ACIIS provides a complete solution via four components, which can be taken in any combination or as individual units: the License Plate Reader (LPR), the Container Code Reader (CCR), the Chassis Code Reader (CHR) and the Damage Inspection System (DIS).
The LPR system identifies and records the license plate of the truck responsible for transporting the container and its goods. When cross-referenced with a provided database, the license number can also verify the driver’s records and operating licenses. The CCR and CHR process the universal ISO codes on containers and chassis for details on ownership, container-chassis matches, and cargo origin and destination. DIS assists terminal operators in protecting themselves against complaints regarding damaged containers and security. With DIS, the physical condition of containers can be recorded upon entry and exit and archived for future reference.
